YggdraSounds II is the next chapter of tunes from Yggdrasil Records. It contains 9 freshly baked tracks within the concept of forest trance, all telling their own unique story.


For those who listened to the first chapter of this series, this CD will surely be to your likings. It picks up where the last one left off, and explores the mystical soundscape even further into the realms of psychedelia. Groovy pumping rhythms combined with elements of unexpected sounds set the pace throughout this journey.

Many participating artists will sound familiar to those with a good memory, but some new have also joined the mission. Purosurpo (1/2 of Derango) is a name that is hard to forget after you experience his music. Also from Sweden comes Troglodytes, here with a high energy track. Kanka (1/2 of Konkylie) and Helan & Halvan (Krussedull/Alter Egon) presents their debut releases, both with a different twist than their other projects. Freeform Syndicate is also a new name, previously known as Alter Egon & Loke.

This compilation will definitely please all lovers of the psychedelic scando sound!

Dating back a decade, this project which has been whispered about to the day is composed of Etnica, Pleiadians, and Lotus Omega. Names which have shaken the globe and whose works helped forge a new way of music worked together since 1996. Their debut album, Tetrahedron, is like a newly recovered treasure chest of dancefloor movers from times past, is composed entirely of tracks once thought lost, yet are now found, collecting dust on DATs and busted hard drives, and brought once again to life through cutting-edge remastering techniques.

DAT Records, an aptly named label for this release, have dug through the annals of analog and digital archives to bring the world the power and respect that tracks of the scope and talent such as these richly deserve. For some people, dark trance stands at a controversy, but this is not the case. This is the self titled mutual debut album of Pharmacore and Becoming.Intense. Behind the project Becoming.Intense stands Diogo Borges. Diogo has come a long way since his impressive performance with his electrifying clean cut 'Near Extinction' ('Nightvision' / Avatar). It seems that B.I's music is at the same time dark, but pleasant, leaving behind the esoteric elements that tend to accompany this genre frequently. His pleasant lines and precision in production can simply be described as outstanding. B.I. is one of the more familiar names coming from his homeland of Brazil. This mutual album is a winning alliance and includes four tracks from Diogo, four brand spanking new cuts from Pharmacore, and in addition the two tracks they wrote together, each from his personal studio. It seems that Diogo and Valentin complete each other, and the harmony between the two flows.
